Fun Phrase Friday: Be Of Good Cheer

Happy Friday!!
This weeks fun phrase is ” Be of good cheer”

Meaning: Go well; Don’t worry.

History: The expression appears twice in the New Testament (Matthew 14:27 and John 16:33) both times a statement by Jesus. In Matthew, when the disciples see Jesus walking on the sea, they are frightened. He says, ” Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” And John records him saying, in his last long talk with the disciples,” Theses things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
