Happy Friday!! This weeks fun phrase is ” See eye to eye.”
Meaning: Be of the same mind; agree.
History: The picture is of two people standing side by side and looking at the same thing (although in the literal scene they don’t necessarily see the thing the same way). Christopher Isherwood gave a negative version of the cliche in Mr. Norris Changes Trains (1935): “I’m afraid Schmidt and I don’t see eye to eye on the subject just at present.”
